Semiconductor company Micrel Inc. announced that they have signed a deal to be sold to Microchip Technology Inc. in a cash-and-stock deal with an equity value of about $839 million.

Microchip is a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, providing low-risk product development, lower total system cost and faster time to market for thousands of diverse customer applications worldwide. Founded in 1989, and headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, have totally 4500 employee with 45 slaes office and 34 area training center worldwide. It is supposed that the shipment quantity of Microchip microcontroller is biggest over the world.  

Micrel founded in 1978, and headquartered in California, is a leading IC solution provider in analog, Ethernet and high bandwidth market. The products include analog, power, mixed signal and RF semiconductor, high communication, clock management and transmission ICs, mainly serve markets like mobile phone, portable and industry pc, enterprise and family network and industry devices.
