Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) announce to acquire Linear Technology for $14.8 billion, making it as strong leader in the analog semiconductor sector with expected annual revenues of about $5 billion. The combined companies will have market value around 30 billion USD.

ADI ranked fourth in analog chip sales in 2015, which Linear took the No. 8 position. After Combined, the two firms are hoped to hold around 10% of the analog IC market.
